Lexington SC Stadium
Lexington SC Stadium is the newest purpose-built home ground in American soccer, raised for a club that spent its first years borrowing someone else's pitch. Before the move, Lexington Sporting Club played out the 2023 season and part of 2024 at Toyota Stadium in nearby Georgetown, a ground the local college had used since 1997. Construction on the club's own site began in October 2023, and by August 2024 the build was done — a fast turnaround for an 80-million-dollar project that folds the stadium into the wider LSC Sports Complex on the city's southeastern edge, off Athens-Boonesboro Road near the Interstate 75 interchange.
The ground opened on 8 September 2024, and the first match played there belonged to the women's side: Lexington SC Women hosted Tampa Bay Sun FC in a USL Super League fixture, giving the venue its christening before the men's team ever kicked off on the new pitch. Seating runs to 7,500, modest by design, and the surface is natural grass.
The stadium carries no sponsor's name — it has been Lexington SC Stadium since the doors opened, with no naming-rights deal attached. The address printed on match tickets is 200 Shives Drive, though some databases list an alternate entrance nearby on Doe Run Trail, a detail more relevant to satnavs than to supporters walking in on matchday.
