Loch Park

Loch Park is not a shared ground. It was built for one club, Glenafton Athletic, and it has never had to answer to anyone else. Before it went up, the club played at Connel Park; when Loch Park opened in August 1960, the shift was permanent.

There is no floodlighting here, and by the early 2010s much of the standing terracing round the pitch had gone over to grass. The main stand is the one significant piece of cover; nothing about the ground has been renamed or sold off for sponsorship, and it has stayed as it was.

That occasion has come to it instead. Loch Park has been trusted with Scottish Junior Cup semi-finals, and Glenafton have made use of the fact: on 20 April 2014 they beat Camelon Juniors 2-0 at home in the second leg to go through 3-2 on aggregate, and the year before, on 25 May 2013, they saw off Arthurlie 3-2 in a West of Scotland Cup semi-final on the same pitch. Carluke Rovers once played at a ground of the same name in Carluke itself, demolished in April 2011 for a supermarket — a different Loch Park entirely, and one that no longer exists.
