Glenafton Athletic

Glenafton Athletic, known to their support as the Glens, play their football in the West of Scotland Super League Premier Division, the tier they reached by winning the First Division in 2011-12 and topped outright five years later. Loch Park, their ground in New Cumnock, East Ayrshire, holds 3,400, with only 250 of those seated.

The Scottish Junior Cup has shaped the club's identity more than any league campaign. Glenafton have reached the final six times and lost four of those, spread across five decades, before finally winning it: in 1992-93 and, 24 years later, in 2016-17. The second of those wins came in the same season as the Premier Division title, the strongest campaign in the club's record.

Formed in 1930, Glenafton played in black and white for their first thirty years. Both the colours and the ground changed together in 1960: the move to Loch Park came with a switch to red and white, still worn today. The Ayrshire League title went to New Cumnock eight times between 1934-35 and 2001-02, and the West of Scotland Cup three times, most recently in 2012-13.

New Cumnock, in East Ayrshire, has had Glenafton Athletic carry its name through junior football for most of a century, still playing out of Loch Park.
