Stade Constant Vanden Stock (Lotto Park)

The stadium's story runs backwards from most of Europe's grounds: instead of growing, it shrank. In 1980, close to 40,000 people packed into the ground for a visit from Standard Liège, and 38,349 of them set an attendance record that still stands. A reconstruction through the 1980s, paid for entirely by RSC Anderlecht itself without state funding, replaced the old terraces with two-tiered stands, roofs and executive boxes. A further modernisation in 2012, bringing the ground up to UEFA standard by fitting seats across the remaining terracing, brought capacity down to the 21,500 it holds today.

The name has followed the club's own history rather than any redevelopment. The ground opened in 1917 and took its first title a year later, Stade Émile Versé, after the club's first president. The 1980s rebuild carried the name of Constant Vanden Stock, another former president, into the stadium's title. Since 2019, a sponsorship deal with the lottery operator Lotto has put Lotto Park on the signage instead.

Back when it still carried the Émile Versé name, the ground had already hosted football beyond Anderlecht's own fixtures: a Euro 1972 semi-final between Hungary and the Soviet Union, and one leg of the 1984 UEFA Cup final, when Anderlecht's run to the trophy brought Tottenham Hotspur to Brussels. The pitch itself, a Desso GrassMaster hybrid surface, was relaid in July 2024.
