Melløs stadion

Melløs stadion took almost ten years to build. The project began in 1931, and the ground did not open until 22 May 1939. By then the club it was built for, Мосс ФК , was already more than thirty years old, founded in August 1906.

What sets the site apart from the many small Norwegian grounds of the same era is that it is not one pitch but five. The main field carries natural grass with undersoil heating. Around it sit three further grass training pitches and an artificial surface that is also heated.

On a coastal site south-east of Осло, frost decides how much of the calendar a ground is worth, and Melløs was equipped so that the answer is most of it.

The name has never changed.
