Two names attach to the same ground here, and only one of them is official. Both refer to the same ground in Block 1 of the Mishref Area, Hawalli governorate — not, despite what gets printed occasionally, Kuwait City itself.

The stadium is the home ground of Al-Yarmouk SC , which also operates the venue rather than merely tenanting it. Construction ran from 2014 to 2017, and the pitch was laid to the standard 105-by-68-metre dimensions in natural grass, without undersoil heating or a surrounding athletics track — a football-only bowl, built for the club rather than shared with other sports.
