The club was registered on 29 July 2025. Five weeks later, on 4 September, it put out a crest and opened its social accounts, settling on sky blue and navy as its colours. There was no ground to unveil alongside them — Shamiya has no home stadium of its own, so its matches this season are being shared between borrowed venues around Kuwait City, among them Mishref Stadium, which holds around 12,000, and the Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Stadium.
