Murtaz Khurtsilava Stadium

The stadium in Martvili carries the name of Murtaz Khurtsilava, and that fact alone tells most of the story. The pitch was torn up and rebuilt under that name on 1 March 2015, following work that began the previous year.

The surface is artificial turf, a detail confirmed by stadium-database sites even where older listings still describe grass. FC Merani Martvili plays its home matches here, in Georgia's second tier, the Erovnuli Liga 2. The record crowd on file dates to 26 February 2017, when the venue hosted the Georgian Super Cup between Samtredia and Torpedo Kutaisi and drew 1,200 spectators.
