NV Arena

The NV Arena was built within the Sportzentrum Niederösterreich. That clean-slate origin shows in details clubs retrofitting old grounds rarely bother with — undersoil heating and root-temperature sensors built into the pitch from the start, and in 2018 a windbreak net added on one stand after a weather consultancy flagged how exposed the site is to gusts coming off the open ground around it.

SKN St. Pölten play their league fixtures here, but the arena's guest list runs wider than most grounds this size: the Austrian women's national team in its opening year, Manchester City Women in the Champions League in 2017/18, an Austria under-21 qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and, on the American football side, four editions of the Austrian Bowl. The record crowd for an SKN league match, just under 7,900, sits close to the arena's nominal capacity, though the bowl was designed with room to grow toward 13,000 if demand ever pushed that far.
