Odenplan

Nothing is played at Odenplan. The name belongs to a public square in the Vasastan district of Stockholm, and to the transport interchange underneath it.

The square exists because the district around it was planned. Albert Lindhagen's plan for the city was approved in 1879, and Vasastaden was laid out over ground that had until then been the rural periphery, which is why the square carries no earlier name. The street Odengatan was named in 1885, after the Norse god Odin, and the square took its name in turn from the street.

Everything that came afterwards went downwards. The metro station opened on 26 October 1952, as the Stockholm underground extended through this part of the city. The commuter rail platforms followed on 10 July 2017, when the Citybanan tunnel brought the regional trains beneath the square.

The only sport attached to the address is Odenplan Fightgym IF, a martial arts club at Hagagatan 2 — an indoor gym for training, with nowhere for spectators to sit. Supporters looking for a ground go elsewhere: Östermalms IP and Sundbybergs IP are the nearest, and both lie in other districts.
