Ousman Saho Football Field

Old Yundum, Gambia

Formerly: NTTC Pitch, Artificial Turf Pitch at NTTC

The name is younger than the pitch. What locals call the Late Ousman Saho Football Field spent its first years simply as the artificial turf pitch at the National Technical Training Centre, a short run from Banjul. The Gambia Football Federation took the NTTC complex over in November 2015, and it was two years later, after Ousman Saho's death in 2017, that the field was renamed in his memory.

It never grew past that academy footprint. Capacity sits around 1,000, and there's no stand-alone stadium website to point fans toward. That original purpose still shapes what happens there: youth internationals, the U-20s and U-23s, use it for preparation work, while the senior game it hosts stays modest — Division Two and First Division fixtures rather than anything from the top flight.

What holds it together is the surface itself. Artificial turf was the point from the start, laid so training wouldn't depend on the rains, and the pitch has kept that identity even as the name around it changed. No attendance record has ever been logged here, which fits a ground built for repetition rather than occasion.
