Patriots Point Soccer Complex
Patriots Point Soccer Complex takes its name from the naval landmark next door, but the ground itself was built as a college field, and for nearly two decades that was its whole identity: home to the College of Charleston Cougars from the year it opened. In 2019 the club renamed the pitch Ralph Lundy Field, after the man who had coached the men's team, with a dedication ceremony that formalised what everyone already called the place.
The complex took on a second life in 2020, when Charleston Battery moved in after their former home, MUSC Health Stadium, closed and was later torn down. That gave Mount Pleasant a ground carrying two tenants with different histories under one roof — a college programme's namesake and a professional club's adopted address, sharing the same natural grass.
