Paul-Grüninger-Stadion
Formerly: Krontal Sports Facility
When SC Brühl finished rebuilding its ground in Krontal in 2006, the club renamed it for Paul Grüninger, twice its president in the interwar years and a left winger who had turned out for the side since 1913. The stadium took his name on 20 May 2006.
Brühl itself dates back to 1901, and the stadium opened on the same site in 1911. FC St. Gallen used the pitch as a fallback venue until 2008, when it moved into the larger Kybunpark, leaving Brühl as the sole tenant.
The club's own high point came earlier still.
