Prästängen

Prästängen sits on the island of Öckerö, off the Gothenburg archipelago, and for a few days in July 1980 it was the centre of Nordic women's football. The ground hosted matches of the Women's Nordic Football Championship, and on the 11th, a Norway–Sweden fixture that finished 2-2 drew 1,585 spectators through the gates — still the highest crowd the venue has recorded. A Denmark–Finland tie in the same tournament pulled 1,538.

Nothing from before that has surfaced; no source gives a construction date, only that the ground was already in use by 1980. It carries no sponsor's name, just the plain, old label it has always had.

Today it is home to Öckerö IF, playing on an artificial surface with room for 1,700, though modern attendances sit far below the archive numbers — a women's fixture in October 2024 drew under 300. The gap between those two figures says something about how the ground's biggest day belongs to a tournament that passed through decades ago, not to the club that plays there now.
