Rafic Hariri Stadium
Beirut, Lebanon
Formerly: Al Manara Stadium, Nejmeh Stadium
Nejmeh Sporting Club has owned this ground since the beginning, and the stadium remains the club's exclusive home. The venue was originally opened in 1969 as Al Manara Stadium before being renamed in 2005 following the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.
The playing surface is natural grass, specifically identified as Edel grass, which replaced a sand training field during a major rehabilitation completed in March 2004. This renovation was a club-led initiative to improve facilities, though a recent announcement in 2025 suggests plans to introduce new pitch material to reduce injuries. The official capacity is 5,000 spectators.
The architect of the original structure was Tarek Balaa. The stadium hosts regular Lebanese Premier League and AFC Cup matches for Nejmeh SC. A concert by Lebanese singer George Wassouf was held at the stadium on July 6, 1996. Historical accounts mention a friendly match featuring Pelé in 1975 that drew over 50,000 fans, but sources are ambiguous regarding whether this match took place at Al Manara Stadium or at Camille Chamoun Sports City, so the event remains unconfirmed for this ground.
