Rajamangala National Stadium
The ground was built for the 1998 Asian Games and its character changed when it was converted into an all-seater for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup. Those individual plastic seats in the North, South and East stands replaced the concrete benches. It remains the home of the Thailand national team, though it has also hosted temporary fixtures for clubs like Krung Thai Bank FC and Chonburi FC during continental competitions.
One match that stuck was the pre-season friendly between Manchester United and Liverpool in 2022, which United won 4–0. The attendance record was set earlier, during a friendly against Liverpool in 2001, when 70,000 people came through the gates. The stadium has also hosted concerts by Lady Gaga and Harry Styles, and the Race of Champions in 2012.
It does not have a regular club tenant, which means the atmosphere depends on the occasion: a tournament match, a national team game, or a concert.
