Raudondvaris Stadium

The old school sports field at Atgimimo gatvė 1 had been in use since the last century, and it could not carry a top-flight fixture. Kaunas District Municipality set out to replace it with something that would satisfy the licensing rules of the A Lyga and of UEFA, and what stands there now was built to that brief.

The result is a small ground with a particular shape. Five hundred seats sit in the main grandstand; the other thousand places are standing room on the northern slope, an embankment rather than a stand. Zones for players, referees and journalists are kept apart, floodlights are in place, and the venue applied for a UEFA Category 2 licence.

It opened on 22 September 2024, with FC Hegelmann against FK Panevėžys. Admission was free, Archbishop Kęstutis Kėvalas blessed the ground, and the match finished 2-2. Hegelmann have played their A Lyga home games here since, against sides such as FK Sūduva and FK Riteriai, and the women's team of the Kaunas District Football Academy uses the same pitch.

The European fixtures the licence was meant to unlock duly arrived. On 17 July 2025 the ground staged a UEFA Conference League qualifier against St Patrick's Athletic, which the visitors won 2-0; Paide Linnameeskond have also come to Raudondvaris. The surface underfoot for all of it is artificial grass.
