The name on the gate at 3310 Country Club Road belongs to Rick Stottler. He took Florida Tech to two national championships, in 1988 and 1991, and when the university opened its ground for football and lacrosse in 2004, it carried his name from the start.
It sits inside the F.W. Olin Sports Complex, a college field rather than a civic one, and it plays that way: 750 seats. The turf itself is recent work. In 2023 the university tore up the old surface and laid down Shaw Legion NXT 2.0 with a coconut-fibre infill.
The one night the ground is remembered for came on 24 November 2019, when Florida Tech beat West Florida 2-1 in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
