Brevard Riptide

Brevard Soccer Club had been running boys' and girls' development sides out of Melbourne, Florida, since 2019 under the name Brevard Fire before it decided to put a senior women's team into the USL W League. The league accepted the group as an expansion entry for the 2024 season, and the announcement went out on 7 September 2023. Brevard SC Riptide now plays in the league's Southeast Division, still carrying the county's name into a competition built for pre-professional and college-age players.

Home matches are tied to Rick Stottler Field, on the Florida Institute of Technology campus in Melbourne, a ground that holds 750 people. Purple and white, with black trim, make up the club's colours, sold through its own online store rather than a licensed kit deal.

Christopher Felber took the head coaching job with a background in futsal rather than the outdoor game, having won championships in both Scotland and the United States before turning to Brevard. Two names travel into the Riptide setup from college soccer: goalkeeper Emma Durand, who plays for Marshall University, and Bree Ehmer, named South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year in 2025 while at Catawba College.

Brevard SC Riptide has yet to reach a USL W League final in its short existence, let alone win one.
