TLH Reckoning

Paige Churchill scored the first goal in TLH Reckoning's history on 8 May 2024, in the club's opening match. Dr. Ashlee Fontes-Comber, a former Florida State University player and the first woman of colour to lead United Soccer Coaches as president, put the club together in 2023 to close that gap.

The team plays out of Gene Cox Stadium, known to the squad and supporters as The Nest, holding up to 6,500 with standing room included. Black and pink run through the identity: black for the Raven theme that gives the club its nickname, The Flock, and pink chosen deliberately to push against what a football kit is expected to look like.

On the field, the club is still building a first trophy. Defender Abbey Griffin and midfielder Lauren Bastian have been part of a squad still short on silverware but no longer short on nights that matter. A pathway agreement with Gotham FC, champions of the National Women's Soccer League in 2023, gives Reckoning players somewhere to go if they outgrow the pre-professional level, and the club has pointed to two players who moved on to professional contracts after the 2024 season.

There is no old rival waiting across town. Tallahassee had never fielded a women's team before this one, so the sharpest test so far has been Asheville City SC — the only real measuring stick The Flock have had.
