Its character is shaped by utility rather than prestige, a pragmatic response to the needs of a small nation where space is at a premium.

The site's primary function is shared. While it serves as the home for FC Triesen and their reserves, it is equally a hub for athletics, housing equipment for long jump, high jump, and pole vault. This dual purpose dictates the layout. The main pitch is natural grass, unlit and surrounded by a running track, a configuration that speaks to a time before floodlights and artificial surfaces became standard.

The stadium's architecture is functional. The facility was built in 1934 and has undergone significant changes, most notably a major renovation between 2006 and 2007, and a larger expansion completed in 2020. This later project included the addition of a skate park and a pump track, transforming the perimeter into a leisure space for the local youth.

The venue has hosted the Liechtenstein Cup Final on occasion, including a notable match in 1996–97 when FC Balzers defeated FC Vaduz. However, the senior national team rarely plays here, preferring the Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz. The capacity is listed as 2,100 in some sources, though others cite figures closer to 5,000, a discrepancy that likely stems from differing definitions of seating versus standing areas.
