Sportplatz Erli

The clue is in the address. There is no street number for Sportplatz Erli — in Kerzers, "Erli" is the name of the place itself, a quarter of the village that turned into a sports ground.

The ground has belonged to one club since it opened: FC Kerzers, founded six years earlier, has held the keys ever since, with the commune of Kerzers behind the work. That arrangement explains the most recent chapter. In May 2024 the residents of Kerzers voted on the pitch — an elastic-layer artificial surface to replace the grass. The work finished the same year, and the new field was handed over to the club at a ceremony on 23 March 2025, with the Musikgesellschaft Kerzers playing.

FC Kerzers play in the 2. Liga interregional, Group 2, but the Swiss Cup does not care about tiers, and on 16 August 2026 the draw sent Super League side FC Sion to Erli. The attendance was 2,800 — absorbed by whatever space the banks would give.

Otherwise the calendar runs to smaller things. The women's Swiss Cup brought Kerzers/Laupen against Basel here in 2012, and in August 2022 more than a hundred children turned up for a BSC YB Kids Camp on the same patch of Erli.
