Stade d'athlétisme de la Charrière
In February 2026 the authorities in Neuchâtel approved CHF 2.5 million to widen the track to eight lanes, with work due to start that August. In this case a résumé that includes the Resisprint meeting.
The football side runs on synthetic turf, FIFA two-star certified. FC La Chaux-de-Fonds plays its home matches here, and FC Kosova Neuchâtel has used the ground as well, so the Charrière has spent years hosting two clubs rather than one. There is a reference, in passing, to an old stand — a vieille tribune — still standing among the newer fixtures, though nobody has put a date on when it went up.
At 8,000 capacity, the Charrière is not built for spectacle. It is built for use: a running track that needed defending in committee rooms before it needed defending on the clock, and a pitch shared between codes and clubs rather than reserved for one tenant's flag.
