Kosova Neuchâtel go into the new season back in 2. Liga interregional.

The club was founded in 1998 and plays its home fixtures at the Stade d'athlétisme de la Charrière, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, which holds 8,000.

That mix showed itself in the 2026/27 Coupe de Suisse, when Kosova Neuchâtel reached the competition's main round for the first time in the club's history. The draw sent them against Lausanne-Sport, a Super League side, and the gap in level told in the end — Lausanne-Sport won 6:0 — but for a half, the amateurs held their own, and it was that resistance, more than the scoreline, that the local press wrote about afterwards.

Among those who took the pitch that day was Dilan Qela, a midfielder who came up through Neuchâtel Xamax's academy and had already played for the Xamax first team in the Super League and Challenge League, as well as for Switzerland's and Kosovo's youth sides, before finding his way to Kosova Neuchâtel.
