Stadio Ciro Vigorito
Pope John Paul II visited in July 1990, and the ground has hosted Italy's rugby side twice, against Morocco in 1979 and Romania in 2000, alongside five Under-21 fixtures for the national team.
Capacity has moved only downward. From an original design for 25,000, with room to grow to 30,000, safety rules and UEFA requirements pushed the number to 20,000, then to 12,847, before a 2017 renovation fixed today's all-seated total of 16,867. The 2008 works, tied to the security requirements of the so-called Decreto Pisanu, replaced seating, added camera coverage and a new tunnel between the dressing rooms and the pitch; turnstiles followed in 2011. A further round, funded largely by the club's ownership at a cost of around two million euros, doubled the entrances to the Curva Nord and installed 27 floodlights along with 18 cameras for VAR. In 2019, more than a million euros went into over 5,000 new seats in the boxes and part of the Curva Nord ahead of the Summer Universiade, whose women's football matches were played here that June and July.
The pitch itself was relaid in September 2018, and by May 2024 Corriere dello Sport rated it the best surface in Serie C's Girone C.
