Stadion Andernach Nebenplatz

The pitch beside the main ground at Andernach has one thing the main ground does not: floodlights.

It is not a stadium in the sense the name suggests. Stadion Andernach Nebenplatz is the German term for the auxiliary field — the second pitch inside the SG 99 Andernach complex, sharing its address with the main ground at Stadionstraße 5. The registry name is a working label rather than a title anyone uses locally; the pitch has never carried anything else, listed only as the Nebenplatz within a complex that has itself been known as the Wacker-Arena and as Stadion Andernach.

The artificial surface was laid in 2009 and the pitch was taken into use for the start of the following season. Capacity is given as 2,500, without a breakdown between seating and standing. Just over thirty matches have been recorded here.
