The ground sits in the Donji Kokoti suburb. Stadion Donji Kokoti is not a destination in itself; it is a place for the people who live nearby. FK Internacional call it home, and the stadium offers a quiet foundation rather than a spectacle. The capacity is small, just 1,000.

There is a history here that predates the current tenants. FK Napredak Donji Kokoti, a side dissolved in 1995, used the ground. More recently, FK Podgorica, which reactivated in 2014, played here before moving to the DG Arena.

It is a contrast to the main Stadion pod Goricom, which holds twenty thousand for a big match. The clubs that use it, FK Internacional and the others that have passed through, do not need a large stage. The stadium does not try to be anything more. It is a place for football in the suburbs, a quiet counterpoint to the noise of the city centre.
