Stadion FK Bohumín

Bohumín is not a city with many claims on the football map, but its stadium carries one name that means something locally: Pavel Srnička . When he died at the end of 2015, the ground was renamed in his honour ahead of the following season.

What stands there now is not the ground that carried the name for decades. The old stadium, known as Na Faji , was demolished in 2012 after more than fifty years of use.

Since 2012 the complex has been run not by the club itself but by BOSPOR , a municipal company set up by the town of Bohumín.

The old Na Faji ground had its own moment worth noting: on 5 August 1959, a local derby between TJ ŽD Bohumín and TJ ŽD Pudlov drew 5,500 spectators, a scoreless draw that still stands as the highest attendance recorded at this address.
