Stadion Górnika Łęczna: Stadium in Łęczna

The three curved roofs are the first thing you notice from Al. Jana Pawła II — they came with the rebuild that ran from 2001 to 2004 and gave the ground the shape it still has, designed by the Lublin office Arconel. Floodlights arrived in the same programme; under-soil heating followed in 2006.

The ground itself is older than that silhouette suggests. It dates from 1987, and the modern stadium sits on those bones rather than replacing them.

Its name has moved around. Between February 2011 and July 2013 the club was registered as GKS Bogdanka, and the ground was widely printed as Arena Bogdanka through those years and after, though the official name never changed.

The fullest it has been was 22 September 2014, when 5,288 came for the Ekstraklasa match against Jagiellonia Białystok. Górnik Łęczna have played in the I Liga since.

The women's game has had its own dates here. Poland beat Belarus 4–1 in a UEFA Women's Euro 2017 qualifier in front of 3,740, and the Górnik Łęczna women's side has taken UEFA Women's Champions League ties on the same grass. No finals, no concerts.
