Górnik Łęczna Women

Three times in a row, between 2015 and 2017, Górnik reached the Polish Cup final and three times lost it to Medyk Konin. The fourth attempt, in 2018, brought a different opponent and a different result: Czarni Sosnowiec beaten 3–1. Two years later the same two sides met again in the final, and Górnik closed the game out 1–0 — the second half of a second double.

Those seasons stand apart from everything else the club has done. The Ekstraliga was won three years running, from 2017/18 to 2019/20, and the title of 2019/20 came with the cup attached to it. The 2018 double had been the first, arriving in the same year the run of lost finals ended.

Górnik came through qualifying against Apollon Limassol and drew Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 32 in 2020/21. The home leg finished 0–2, the return 1–6.

Home is the Stadion Górnika Łęczna on Al. Jana Pawła II, a ground of roughly 7,500 places in a town of no great size, shared with the men's side. The green and black of the shirts gives the team its nickname, the Green-Blacks.

The women's team was set up in 2002 as a section of GKS Górnik Łęczna, itself founded in 1979.
