Stadion Hordeler Heide
Two different capacity figures follow Stadion Hordeler Heide around, and nobody has settled which one counts. The club's own website, Europlan and Transfermarkt list the Hordel ground at 5,000; German Wikipedia and fussball.de put it at 3,000. The lower number likely reflects what's actually kitted out with stands and fencing rather than a licensed limit, but no source draws that line for certain, so the ground carries both figures at once.
What isn't in doubt is how full the place got on 1 June 2025, when DJK TuS Hordel hosted FC Roj Dortmund in the Landesliga Westfalen decider. Somewhere between 2,550 and 3,000 people packed the sidelines that afternoon, the club's largest recorded crowd, and watched Hordel win their way back into the Westfalenliga. No official attendance record has been logged for the ground beyond that day.
The pitch itself is artificial, laid down in its current form in 2019 after the city funded a resurfacing programme covering two of Bochum's sports grounds. The stadium has never carried a sponsor's name, and sits in Hordel, a district on Bochum's western edge, tied to a club whose football section traces back to the 1960s, though the ground's own construction date has gone unrecorded.
