Stadion Miejski Hutnik Kraków
The ground sits in the shadow of heavy industry, where steelworks and open fields meet. Stadion Miejski Hutnik Kraków has always been tied to the district’s working life, built by workers and players on May 1, 1953, before the full complex opened in May 1957. The running track still frames the pitch, though the stands have changed shape over the years. The old names, Stadion Suche Stawy, appear only in memory; the city council settled on the current title in 2012. The surface is natural grass, laid again in 2012 when the England national team trained here for the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament. Recent years brought a rebuild of the seating after the old stands deteriorated; temporary bleachers now hold just over 1,600 spectators. A new stadium is planned for the same site, but the old ground remains in use. The official site lists fixtures and news for supporters. The ground is ordinary, but it belongs to the district.
