Stadion Rajko Štolfa
Sežana's ground carries the name of a local football administrator, awarded to it back when the pitch was still known simply as the Mestni stadion — the city stadium. That older, plainer identity fits a place that has never chased anything beyond its own town's needs.
What keeps it going is not scale but upkeep. Two rounds of work, in 2000 and again in 2016, have kept the natural turf and the surrounding stands fit for use rather than left to decay. The sports centre that runs it is careful to note the grass pitch stands apart from a separate artificial one nearby.
The stadium's whole history sits close to home: a name change in honour of a man who gave his time to the local game, a surface kept in working order, and more than a century of use since the ground first opened in 1920.
