The pitch at Afumați sits away from the noise of the capital, and it belongs to a club that has never needed more than this: CS Afumați plays its Liga II fixtures here in front of a ground that holds three thousand, no more.

There is no floodlighting, so the calendar sets its own limits — afternoon kick-offs, nothing rescheduled into the dark. The pitch itself is natural grass, plain and workable, the kind that takes a Romanian second-tier season without complaint.

What marks the place out locally is the pairing few visitors know about: a second, much smaller ground in the same commune, Stadionul Comunal 2, seats barely two hundred and carries no lights either. The big pitch does the heavy lifting; the smaller one stays in reserve.

CS Afumați's own recent form has kept the ground busy rather than idle. The 2024/2025 campaign ran the club into a relegation group, and it finished there in fourteenth place after thirty matches.
