Colonița sits just outside Chișinău. Stadionul Sătesc carries no former name and no clear opening date — it is on Strada Budești, on a natural grass pitch.
For five seasons, between 2012 and 2017, this modest ground was the home of FC Academia Chișinău while the club played in the Divizia Națională, Moldova's top flight — the team finishing seventh in the 2012–2013 campaign. Sides from further afield passed through as well: Rapid Ghidighici, and Tytan Armyansk before 2014, later FK Sfîntul Gheorghe Suruceni until 2023.
In 2018 and 2019 the stadium staged early rounds of the Moldovan Cup.
By 2020 the pitch itself needed attention, and the local authority, Primăria s.
