Spartanii Selemet

The club folded that year for lack of money, and came back in 2018 only because someone rebuilt it from nothing, renaming it CSF Spartanii Selemet that March. It had started life in 2011 as CF Sparta Selemet, a village team with no realistic path past Divizia B, and for years that was the level it played at: champions of the "South" group there in 2015–16, and again in 2018, the season of the relaunch.

Third place in Divizia A in 2019, under Ștefan Stoica, ended in a playoff final lost to Codru Lozova. Fourth-place finishes came in 2020–21 and 2021–22. Selemet stayed short of the top flight until 2022–23, when second place in their group was enough — other clubs' withdrawals opened the door to the Super Liga, and the debut season followed in 2023–24, more than a decade after the club had first taken the field as a third-tier village side.

The Stadionul Sătesc, the ground also known simply as Stadionul Selemet, seats 200 by the Moldovan federation's own count, a capacity that puts most of the country's football grounds to shame for smallness even by Divizia B standards. In July 2024 the club left that ground altogether, relocating to Chișinău and taking the name CSF Spartanii Sportul under new ownership: Nana Yaw Amponsah, the Ghanaian businessman who runs Asante Kotoko, brought in players from Ghana, among them Isaac Oppong and Nicholas Osei Bonsu. Igor Ursachi took over as coach. None of it changes where the club spent its first years: a red-and-yellow shirt in a village stadium built for 200.
