Local derbies at the Stadionul Fălești tend to be against Stăuceni and Florești.
What Fălești has is a habit of winning the third tier and then finding out what the second one is like. The club topped Divizia B in 2019 and again in the 2021–22 season, going up to Liga 1 both times.
The name on the shirt is younger than the club itself. It played as Flacăra Fălești from 1991, and only in July 2013 did it become FC Fălești. Spicul's old ground was later refurbished, but matches now go on at the Stadionul Fălești, which holds 4,300.
Little of the club's playing history beyond that has surfaced — no player has broken through to wider recognition, and the record books stay thin for a side that has mostly lived in the lower divisions.
