Olimp Comrat
Club · Moldova · Liga 1
Olimp Comrat's promotion push runs through Divizia A, the tier they reached after topping Divizia B South in 2019.
The club itself did not start in Comrat. It was formed in 2013 across town in Ceadîr-Lunga and only later moved to the regional capital, taking up residence at Stadionul Viktor Mumzhiev once it opened in spring 2021 with room for around 5,000.
In the Moldovan Cup, where a top-flight run has so far stopped at the Round of 16, Olimp has reached that stage four times without breaking through, in 2017–18, 2018–19, 2020–21 and 2021–22. Across town, CF Gagauziya-Oguzsport gives Comrat a derby that matters more locally than anything in the league table, with FC Congaz supplying a second regional rival.
Roman Rostokin is the name attached to the club's best individual Cup run: he finished as the 2021–22 tournament's top scorer while wearing Olimp's colours, a distinction no other Comrat player has matched.
