Stadionul „Victor Mumjiev”

The roof of Stadionul Victor Mumjiev bears the scar of a helicopter. The damage occurred in October 2018, when the aircraft belonging to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan clipped the structure during a visit to Comrat. Following the collision, the president allocated funds specifically for the repair of the stadium.

Before the reconstruction completed in 2012, the site held an older facility that had stood for sixty years. The new build replaced that aging structure. The result is a compact arena with an artificial turf surface and a capacity listed as 4,430, though some records suggest a slightly higher figure of 5,000.

The stadium is named after Viktor Georgievich Mumzhiev, a former kolkhoz chairman, rather than a commercial sponsor. It serves as the home ground for several local Liga 2 clubs, including FC Univer Comrat and FC Maiak Chirsova.

The roof remains intact, repaired after the incident. The surface is synthetic. The stands hold fewer people than the larger complexes in the region, but they are always full enough for the local matches played there.
