In January 2022, Florești were thrown out of the Super Liga mid-season — not relegated, but disqualified, after a match against Speranța the previous February was found to have been manipulated. The ban ran a full season, and the club dropped back into Division A to serve it.

Alexandru Suvorov, a Moldova international with 59 caps behind him, joined in 2023 as the club pushed to get back up. He helped Florești win Division A that season, earned the licence to return to the top flight for 2023/24, and then retired.

It did not last. Through the promotion, the ban, the second promotion, the club never played a home match in Florești again. By 2024/25, wages were going unpaid and players were leaving before the season was out; Florești finished the campaign back down in Liga 1.

The best run in the cup came in 2021/22, a semi-final lost to Petrocub after extra time. What there is instead is a ground in another town, the Dinamo Stadium in Bender, holding just over 5,000, standing in for a home the team has not played in for years.
