Milsami Orhei

Ten years separated Milsami Orhei's two league titles, and the second one arrived in a season that also ended with the club beaten in the cup final. The 2024–25 campaign gave them the Moldovan championship for the first time since 2014–15.

The club came out of Orhei, a town whose sports complex still houses it. It spent its early years climbing: the Divizia A title in 2008–09 put it into the top flight, and it has stayed there since. The first trophy of any kind came in 2011–12, when Milsami won the Moldovan Cup.

Home is the Complexul Sportiv Raional Orhei, which holds 3,000.

Between the two championships the club kept finishing near the top without quite getting there. Second place in 2017, second again in 2018, though 2018 brought a second Moldovan Cup. A second Super Cup came in 2019. Then the 2024–25 double attempt: the league won, the cup lost in the final.

The rivalries are a matter of geography and of the table. Moldova's top division is small, and Milsami's opponents in the title races of 2015 and 2025 were the same clubs they meet three or four times a season, in a league where the pool of contenders barely changes from one year to the next. The Red Eagles have spent most of their existence measuring themselves against Chișinău sides.
