Østerbro Stadion opened on 12 May 1912 as an athletics ground. B.93 and BK Skjold now share it, an arrangement that keeps a stadium built for a different era in regular use rather than left to stand empty between anniversaries.
The record crowd tells two different stories depending on the sport.
The stands themselves carry the marks of three separate eras: a new stand went up in the 1950s, steel terracing followed in the late 1970s, and a full reconstruction between 2007 and 2009 brought the ground down to its current capacity of 4,400, of which 1,200 are seated.
