Strandvallen

The sea sits close enough at Strandvallen that Hällevik's shoreline is only about a hundred metres from the touchline. The ground opened with a friendly against the German side Germania Lehe, won 4-1, and has stayed home to Mjällby AIF ever since — a club formed when two local sides, Listers IF and Hälleviks IF, merged before the stadium existed to house them.

Kristianstadsbladet described the rebuilt main stand as English in style, a comparison that stuck as the ground kept growing: seating in the main stand roughly doubled during one overhaul, undersoil heating went in ahead of an Under-19 World Cup, and a new building for changing rooms, delegates and media is now under construction as part of an upgrade aimed at meeting UEFA's requirements. Naming-rights talk surfaced in 2009 and went nowhere; the stand still carries no sponsor's name.

None of that explains what happened here between 2023 and 2026. Mjällby lost a Swedish Cup final on this pitch to BK Häcken, kept knocking on the door, then won the Allsvenskan title on home turf in October 2025 — a first championship for a club from a small village — before finally lifting the Cup itself in 2026 against Hammarby IF. The record crowd, 7,500, actually exceeds the ground's listed capacity, and it gathered not for either final but for a league match against Halmstads BK.
