Štadión pod Čebraťom

Ružomberok sits under a hill called Čebrať, and the stadium takes its name straight from it — Štadión pod Čebraťom. The club, MFK Ružomberok, has played there since 1955, and for most of that time the ground looked nothing like it does now: an oval track ran round the pitch, terraces held standing crowds, and on 26 February 1971 a match against FC Baník Horná Nitra from Handlová drew 24,000 people through the gates, a figure the current all-seated stadium could never come close to.

The rebuilding came in stages, not one sweep. In 1998 the running track went, cleared to make room for the west stand, Tribúna B, holding just over 2,500. The east stand, Tribúna A, followed in 2006. The last major phase ran from 2014 to 2016, part of a wider push to modernise Slovak grounds, and brought in undersoil heating for the pitch along with the finishing work on the east side.

What's left is a compact, seated ground for 4,876, with a separate artificial training pitch alongside it for the club's day-to-day work.
