Teddy Stadium

Two clubs have called the ground home since it opened: Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Jerusalem both moved in at the start and both still play there.

The stadium in the Malha district took three decades to reach its present shape. It began as two stands, west and east, holding roughly 14,500. The north stand followed in 1999 and added 8,000 seats. The south stand was finished on 3 June 2013 , timed to the final of the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship , and took the ground to 31,733.

It carries no sponsor's name and never has. It was named for Teddy Kollek , the mayor who pushed the project through, and the Jerusalem Municipality has owned it since. Among Arab residents it is still called after al-Maliha, the village whose land it stands on.

The fullest it has been was 31 March 2015 , when 29,750 watched Israel lose 1-0 to Belgium in a Euro 2016 qualifier. No club fixture has come close: the derby of 1 December 2024 , drawn 3-3, brought in 24,123.

Beyond football, the ground opens the Maccabiah Games — the 2001, 2013, 2017, 2022 and 2026 ceremonies were all held here — and it staged the 2026 State Cup final, won 2-1 by Maccabi Tel Aviv against Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
