The Causeway

The Causeway name lasted three years, 2003 to 2006, sponsorship gone before most visiting fans had learned to call it anything but Adams Park. The ground has carried the Wycombe Wanderers colours since it opened for the 1990/91 season.

Growth came in stages rather than one rebuild: the Woodlands Stand went up in 1996, and the Dreams Stand was extended in 2001. Safety restrictions on the Beechdean Terrace have trimmed the usable figure closer to 9,448, a reminder that grounds this size are governed as much by licensing as by steel and seating.

A run to the semi-finals in 2015/16, and later a fourth-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur in 2020/21 played to empty stands under pandemic restrictions, followed by a 2024/25 third-round meeting with Portsmouth that drew 5,240. Away from football , the ground has stayed largely a football venue — its one notable diversion was hosting the SmileFest family event in 2022.
