The Rock

One touchline here isn't a stand or an advertising hoarding — it's bare rock. The Rock was built into the old Rhosymedre Quarry, and the excavation left a sheer stone face running along one side of the pitch. The name is no terrace nickname; it's the ground's official title, carried through the planning paperwork from the start.

Cefn Druids have called it home since the ground opened, and since 2023 Wrexham AFC's women's team has shared the fixture list. Grass gave way to a 3G surface in 2016.

The record crowd, 1,854, came for a friendly against Wrexham AFC on 10 June 2017. That link deepened in August 2025, when Wrexham AFC bought the ground outright and put money into new floodlights, rewired electrics, repaired perimeter fencing and added Wi-Fi, addressing lighting and pitch problems that had built up around the goalmouths.
