Steen Eiler Rasmussen , the urban planner behind Tingbjerg, set out its sports park as part of the scheme, and Copenhagen Municipality built it, putting disabled workers on the site. A gravel track was taken into use that January.

Brønshøj Boldklub did not arrive all at once. The youth teams moved in first, in 1972; the senior side followed in 1977; and only in 1990 did the club shift its home fixtures here from Vanløse Idrætspark. The attendance record of 2,500 was set the season after the move, when Næstved Boldklub were the visitors.

A clubhouse went up in 1998, and on 15 June 2003 the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Jens Kramer Mikkelsen , opened the stand.

Tingbjerg IF, earlier Bellahøj IF, played here too before merging with Brønshøj. The name has never been sold: it has been Tingbjerg Idrætspark, or Idrætsanlæg, throughout, with no sponsor attached.
