Vanadzor Football Academy

There is no club here, no matchday crowd to write around — Vanadzor Football Academy exists for training, not fixtures, and that changes what there is to say about it. The ground opened in October 2016, and the opening itself was the event: the ceremony brought President Serzh Sargsyan and Football Federation of Armenia president Ruben Hayrapetyan to the Taron IV district.

Vanadzor already had a stadium, Lori, dating to 1958 on Zakaryan Street. This academy ground did not replace it or take its name — it went up separately, on Sebastia Street.

At 1,000 capacity, it was never built to hold a crowd.
