New Delhi, India
Formerly: Corporation Stadium, Delhi Gate Stadium (for Ambedkar Stadium)
**Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi**
**Opened:** 1983
**Capacity:** 60,254
**Address:** Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Marg, New Delhi, 110003
**Surface:** Natural grass
The stadium's identity shifted when Delhi Dynamos departed in 2020. What remains is something closer to the Asian Games of 1982, or the Commonwealth Games renovation that brought the capacity down to 60,254. The concrete shell does not reach inward.
The main stand faces south, its roofline exposed. Beyond the stands the city rises without interruption. On match days the gates open first thing in the morning and the building settles into its rhythm.
**Former names:** Corporation Stadium, Delhi Gate Stadium (for Ambedkar Stadium)
The facility has outlasted three professional teams. The last to call it home left without ceremony. The stadium itself does not mark the occasion.
